NATURAL CALAMITIES- do they kill us or their feeling??!!

The fury of nature is beyond human comprehension & that is why, the science of prediction is non-existent when it comes to natural disasters. The best example would be the recent disaster that had been inferred upon by the nature in Japan. Undoubtedly, it has created a chaos in the country but what about the minds of the people in different countris??!! Are We really feeling SAFE?? Have We just limited ourselves to sympathy or with a thought to provide aids to Japan?? Doesn't the thought that what we do if the same happens to us, strike our minds? don't We people wonder that "ARE WE REALLY SAFE??
The fact is, today each and everyone is concerned about his/her safety and ofcourse of their families. 
Researchers at the Institute of Geomatics -- Research Centre of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and the Government of Catalonia -- have estimated the ground deformation suffered in the area of Sendai, Japan, as a consequence of the earthquake of March 11, 2011 and its aftershocks. The estimate was derived from radar observations acquired by the Envisat satellite of the European Space Agency. According to this estimate, obtained over an area of approximately 300 x 100 km around the city of Sendai, the terrain has suffered a co-seismic deformation -- permanent deformation of Earth's surface -- associated with the earthquake of up to 1.69 m.

That is why as "Japan picks up the pieces after devastation, the disturbing pictures push us to take the stock of the situation back home" a well quoted line by a newspaper. In India the biggest threat of such calamities lies in all the metro cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Banglore and Kolkata. What would happen if Earthquakes, Tsunamies or other such disasters spread their wings in India?? Are We really prepared?? Lost Lives, Thirst & Hunger, Searching lost near & dear ones, looking for Shelter, irrepairable Damages to the Homes and mostly to the Hearts. This actually leads us all to the situation where one wonders that what kills us more.... NATURAL DISASTERS, THEIR IMPACT OR THEIR FEELING??
